Which is Issei chanting prayers under his breath - that's not all that uncommon for even a regular Japanese person from what I've heard, and more than 90% of the time it's probably going to be the Heart Sutra (http://homepage.mac.com/doubtboy/HeartSutra.html) or chapter 25 of the Lotus Sutra (http://lotus.nichirenshu.org/lotus/sutra/english/watson/lsw_chap25.htm). (That chapter, btw, is talking about Kannon, aka Kanzeon Bosatsu - I would lol forever if Issei met her on the community. XD)
