Want is what causes suffering in this world. We want things that we cannot have, will lose, or are inferior to our idea of them. Want clouds the mind, fools the senses. It is one of the most significant barriers to enlightenment. If a monk wants nothing, he will want for nothing.

I live as a monk. I have no special powers, I rarely get into fights and am not particularly skilled at them. I've never saved the world.

I don't see how one person could save the world, even if they can do something crazy. The world is gigantic.
