Issei was very, very nervous.

His experience in doing... couple things was practically nil, and Archer was coming over. To his house. On Valentine's Day. What was he going to do? What if he did something stupid and wrong and they broke up? What if he tried to kiss him and it was too soon? What if one of them choked on a chocolate?!

Forcing himself to calm down, Issei paced outside the entrance to the temple and waited anxiously for Archer to arrive.

"I'd surprise you," Archer said with a grin as they continued to eat.

After they were done eating, Issei asked, "How have you been lately, Archer?"

"Contemplating my existence," Archer replied with a grin.

"I see. That hasn't changed recently, has it? I'd hoped that someone on here might be able to help with that, but perhaps that's too much to hope for." Issei paused. "But at least it isn't so bad right now."

"Well, I'd like to stay here," Archer admitted with a grin.

"That's good, because I'd like to keep you here," Issei answered, feeling a smile stretch across his own face.

Archer smiled at that and replied, "And what would you do with me here?"

The innuendo in that went completely over Issei's head. "Whatever you'd want to do, of course. You deserve more than I could give."

"How sweet and how untrue," Archer replied simply, "Your the one who deserves more."

"I could argue all day that you deserve more than I do," Issei answered with a small smile, "but I'd rather spend that time talking with you about other things. Shall we agree to disagree?"

"As always," Archer said with a smile as he poured his friend a cup of tea. He asked, "So, what would you like to talk about? What have you made my younger self slave away with?"

"I have not made him 'slave away'," Issei retorted. "He helps fix equipment entirely of his own free will, and I fully intend to repay the favors in the future. Should I be asking you what Tohsaka has been ordering you to do recently?"

"Make her tea for the most part," Archer said with a chuckle.

"If the tea you make for her is anything like the tea you make for me, I can see the reason why," Issei replied.

He paused. "...I apologize, Archer, but I really have no idea what to say on this kind of occasion. Apparently the ability to make small talk has left me."

"Then let this speak," Archer replied as he cupped Issei's cheek and pulled him for a real kiss.

Issei blushed deeply again, returning the kiss as best as he knew how. To be honest, he was glad that Archer was taking the lead, since he didn't know what to do and was still so nervous... But Archer could calm his nerves with a single word.

Archer smiled as he seperated from Issei, amused that his boyfriend still tasted like curry. He stroked Issei's hair back from his eyes and straightened up his glasses. He tilted his head and teased, "Well, they didn't fog up. I might try that again."

And he did, this time brushing his tongue against Issei's lips.

Issei's blush only darkened more as Archer adjusted his hair and glasses. "Wh-what are you-?" His question was lost as Archer kissed him again. Hesitantly, he opened his lips a little.

Archer tasted Issei and felt his cheeks warm even more under his finger tips. He finished the kiss by brushing his lips against Issei's. He pulled away to smile at him.

Issei felt a smile spread on his own face as Archer pulled away. "A-Archer, I hope you don't think I'll be capable of making a coherent sentence after that."

"Well, that means I did well then," Archer said with a tiny smirk as he sat back.

"Sh-shouldn't I try to do as well?" Issei stammered, embarrassed that he seemed to be the only one getting flustered.

"No, you just take your time and enjoy this," Archer said with a chuckle.

"But, but I want to do well. For you," Issei admitted, stumbling over his words once again. "Th-this isn't just for my sake, is it?"

"I'm enjoying myself too," Archer replied.
