Issei was not exactly at his most alert after waking up, and certainly not at his most alert after waking up after passing out from stress and exhaustion. (He really hadn't gotten enough sleep when he was at Shirou's house. That could have been a problem.)

Thus, when he noticed that he was curled up - snuggling, really - with someone who hadn't been there the night before, he wasn't nearly as startled as he should have been. Mostly, he was just confused. "...Is that you, Haruto?"

Haruto blinked when he was spoken too, and smiled at him.

"Yes, it is. I rarely see temples like these, I usually remain either at school or in the chapel."

Besides the last time he entered a temple it was haunted and gave him nightmares.

"Well, I've rarely been to chapels, so it's more or less the same here. There's a church not that far from here, but the priest... is really creepy," Issei admitted. "Actually, let's not talk about him."

[identity profile] president-omg.livejournal.com 2009-04-25 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
Haruto blinked, at him looking away from the temple.

"Why is he creepy?"

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2009-04-25 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
"I don't know. Something about him just unsettles me, and I usually trust my instincts."

Issei turned his head. "Should we go back inside? There's not much more to see; just the main hall and the lecture hall."

[identity profile] president-omg.livejournal.com 2009-04-25 05:34 am (UTC)(link)
Haruto made a curious hum about the Priest, but considering Issei's tone about him, he decided against questioning further. He nodded, looking back to him.

"Hmm, lead the way." he replied, nodding and smiling.

...I don't know anything about temples, do I.

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2009-04-25 05:36 am (UTC)(link)
Issei nodded and stepped back inside the temple, opening the door to the main hall slightly. Even at this early hour, monks were inside praying and going about the rituals of the day.

dude your talkin' to a Catholic who hasn't been to church in over a year xD its fine

[identity profile] president-omg.livejournal.com 2009-04-25 06:04 am (UTC)(link)
As he stepped in Haruto felt as if he was suddenly the loudest person in the world. His free hand came to his mouth, as if to silence any possible sounds that might have made at the sight.

It was stunning. Much like looking upon a Virgin Mary statue after a long hard day. He'd never seen anything like it.

At least you're the same religion as your character. I'm Jewish.

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2009-04-25 06:10 am (UTC)(link)
Issei waited for a few moments in a reverent silence, before drawing back a little from the door. He didn't want to interrupt Haruto, who seemed to be enthralled by the sight; it reminded him of when he was a child and liked nothing better than to sit in the main hall and listen to the monks.

On the other hand, he didn't want to interrupt the monks' praying.

I'm lucky Christianity and Catholicism isn't all that different xPP

[identity profile] president-omg.livejournal.com 2009-04-25 06:34 am (UTC)(link)
Haruto was ten again, amazed by what he saw before him until he noticed that Issei move back towards the door. He blinked and followed still slightly transfixed by the monks before him.

He wanted to ask questions, but was still afraid that his voice might rattle and break whatever stunning silence might still linger within the temple.

Lucky. For me, it's more, "...um, what do monks do again?"

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2009-04-25 06:39 am (UTC)(link)
Quietly, Issei shut the door. "You're welcome to attend the public services any time you like, but it would be better to come in at the beginning, rather than interrupt," he explained softly. "My apologies."

haha well, I think your doing fine xDD

[identity profile] president-omg.livejournal.com 2009-04-25 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
Haruto was still beaming even after the stunning imagery of the monks praying had been shut away from him. He smiled at Issei, and nodded.

"Oh, its fine. From what I saw, it looks amazing."

Thanks~

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2009-04-25 07:00 am (UTC)(link)
"It is," Issei agreed, a faraway look in his eyes. "I can't remember ever not wanting to become a monk, even when I was young.

"What about you? Do you know what you'll be doing after you graduate?"

of course, mah horse ^-^ <3

[identity profile] president-omg.livejournal.com 2009-04-26 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
Haruto smiled at him and gave a soft sigh thinking for a moment. He wanted to go to University, but his father always assumed that he would take after him and tend to the Chapel.

"I want to go to University, but my father would like me to become a Minister like him."

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2009-04-26 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
Issei thought over that for a moment. "...It may be forward of me to give my opinion, but... I think you should do what you want to do, rather than what your father wants you to do. In the long run, you both will probably be happier that way."

[identity profile] president-omg.livejournal.com 2009-04-26 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
"I do plan to go to University." he assured him, confidently, "Although, because of the Council, it seems I may have to take a year off from University to study a bit more..."

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2009-04-26 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, the student council. How is that going? ...They aren't troubling you too much, are they?" Issei asked, unable to keep the concern out of his voice.

[identity profile] president-omg.livejournal.com 2009-04-26 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, no more than usual." he replied, holding up his free hand, shaking his head gently.

"I'm the more normal one out of them all, so I'm used to being the butt of the joke at times..." he replied sheepishly.

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2009-04-26 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
Haruto's answer didn't relieve Issei. "They're your friends, aren't they? Why would they make fun of you? ...I don't think it's good that you've had to get used to that."

Without thinking, Issei rested his free hand on Haruto's shoulder. "I-if there's ever anything that's bothering you, and you want to talk about it without being made fun of, I'm always available to listen."

[identity profile] president-omg.livejournal.com 2009-04-26 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
The concern in Issei's voice was rather stunning to Haruto. He knew they were his friends, but more often than not it was the ghosts doing their normal habits and Haruto reacting to them. What he was not accustomed to was amusing to the others around him.

He blinked at him, and looked at the hand on his shoulder then back up to Issei, giving a sheepish and small smile.

"T-thank you, Issei-kun... I will remember that." he replied softly.

...I assumed they were walking during this whole conversation, woops.

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2009-04-26 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
"You're welcome. It's the least I can do."

They had come to another set of doors, which Issei opened to reveal a large, empty room. "This is the lecture hall; it doesn't look like it's being used right now. Other than the kitchen and dining area, you've seen the entire temple."

xDD tis fine

[identity profile] president-omg.livejournal.com 2009-04-26 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
Haruto smiled at him and then looked into the room, leaning to look around. It was rather large and reminded him of the auditorium at his school.

"This is a large room..."

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2009-04-26 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
"A lot of monks live here, so we need it to be large," Issei explained.

[identity profile] president-omg.livejournal.com 2009-04-26 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
"That makes sense." Haruto replied, looking over the room and then back over at Issei.

"It must be interesting to live here."

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2009-04-26 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
"For me, it seems like it'd be interesting to live in a normal house," Issei replied with a shrug. "I don't know what it's like living anywhere else, so I couldn't say."

[identity profile] president-omg.livejournal.com 2009-04-26 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
"I wouldn't call my own home normal... my father is rather odd in his own sense..." He replied softly, looking down and then back up to the other boy.
