[RL - Third date with Haruto.]

Issei paced around near the bottom of the steps to the temple.

The first two times had gone well, so this time would do well, wouldn't it? Well, it could be said that the second time hadn't gone so well with the kissing-on-the-cheek and freezing-up, and then after that there'd been that large strain in their relationship courtesy of his tasks-

Still! No reason to panic! If he had confidence in himself, he could make sure Haruto enjoyed himself, and that was all that really mattered.

...was it strange that they'd been dating for over two months and this was only their third date?

Haruto landed, rather successfully this time, beside the temple. He was getting better at this whole traveling between worlds thing - it was something one had to get used to, he assumed. He wasn't sure.

Thinking clearly was another rather successful triumph he managed to do. Each time he spoke to Issei he got either nauseous or a nose bleed. And both were followed the same feeling he'd been having since the last time they spoke. As he rounded the corner he spotted the same familiar figure, and again his stomach made a lurch making his face flush slightly.

"H-Hello, Issei." he called brightly stepping up to him.

Haruto was here! Act calm and collected!

Issei smiled brightly at him. Thankfully, it was easy enough to say hello without breaking into nonsensical stammering. "Hello, Haruto. It's good to see you again. I hope you have been well?"

Why did it always feel like he needed to do something other than wave and say hello to him? It was so odd and frustrating to him - but this thought process might make him panic so he pushed that thought to the back of his mind.

"I've been well." he chimed, "H-have you been able to clear up everything with everyone?"

"Thankfully, yes," Issei answered with a sigh of relief. "Most of them have been able to have their possessions returned, and it doesn't look like any of them are going to pursue a grudge with me. I can finally go back to enjoying my day-to-day life."

Haruto smiled, "I'm glad. I wouldn't want anyone to hold anything against you. Especially after the explanation you gave."

Issei nodded. "I'm sorry that I had to keep it from you for so long... Anyway, shall we be off?"

Haruto smiled at him, and nodded in agreement.

"Ah - yes. Where are we going this time?"

"There's this film that came out recently that I thought you might enjoy," Issei explained. "It's supposed to be a musical about a tanuki and a banished prince, and all of my friends assured me that it was quite good."

((Oh, I probably should mention. For the Three's Company virus, Styx, Lylith and I were thinking of having a virused Akako/Hakuba/Issei threesome. Issei would, of course, be falling over himself to apologize to Haruto afterward. Is that all right with you?))

"Oh." Haruto chimed, "That does sound interesting. I haven't seen a good movie in a long while."

Issei sighed in relief. "Then I'm glad it'll be something you'll enjoy. The movie theater is a bit of a longer walk than the restaurant, but it shouldn't be too bad."

((All right, great! This'll be fun~))

"Oh, I don't mind the walk." Haruto assured him. He did, however, mind his thoughts and the process they were currently running.

Issei smiled and nodded. "That's good. Besides, it's in the opposite direction, so you'll get to see more of Fuyuki this way. Shall we go?"

((Yeah, eww, Hannibal. Have fun~))

Haruto smiled and nodded, "I'd like that. Yes, let's."

Issei started to lead Haruto through the town, making small talk in the meantime. "How have your studies been going lately?"

((Maybe if they were - no, not even if they were totally crazy.))

Haruto followed beside Issei, glad to have some kind of calm air around him.

He blinked over at him when he spoke, he was silent for a moment thinking before looking to him and replying.

"They're about the same." he answered honestly.

"Well, that's fairly good. And your friends, how are they treating you?" Issei couldn't keep the worried air out of his voice. It pained him to think of the treatment most of Haruto's friends bestowed upon him. ...Of course, his own friends weren't much better at times, but at least he was used to it.

He didn't want to tell Issei that nothing had really changed out of the ordinary for his school life, or that any chance of every coming up with a routine was beyond impossible.

"They're about - the same, but I wouldn't expect them to have changed much." he answered honestly, and looked back to him. In all honesty - he really wouldn't have it any other way.

"...I see. Well, if you don't mind things being that way, I have no right to complain."

Issei fell quiet for a few moments. "What are your friends like, anyway? I don't believe you've described them all that much."

He hadn't really described them to anyone on the community. He usually kept it to himself. It was never brought up, so he didn't pay much mind to it.

"Oh..Well, Kazumi-kun and Asahina-kun are very different from me. They actually have powers to help the spirits and the school."

"But I'm sure that even without powers, you're a great help to the school." Issei hoped that you didn't need special powers to become a good student council president. If that was the case, then he was a terrible one.

Haruto smiled at him and nodded.

"Yes, I hope so. It is our job to help keep order in the school. The spirits tend to distract the students from their work, and we council members are supposed to keep them from doing that."

Issei chuckled. "Yes, I'm sure that if a spirit showed up in our school, it would be highly distracting to everyone. Perhaps even to the teachers."

Haruto gave a soft laugh, and placed a hand behind his head, smiling.

"Yes. The teachers encourage us to do what we must to keep the spirits in check. Which, I guess, is part of the reason why we receive credit even if we don't go to class."

Issei smiled in return. "Your school sounds like it's a very interesting place. I'd like to visit it one day." He might have been a part of the community for a while now, but things like a school full of spirits were still fascinating to him.

"Perhaps on one of the more clam days, yes." he smiled agreeing. He would like him to see his school, maybe the spirits would leave him along long enough for Haruto to show Issei around.
