[RL - Third date with Haruto.]

Issei paced around near the bottom of the steps to the temple.

The first two times had gone well, so this time would do well, wouldn't it? Well, it could be said that the second time hadn't gone so well with the kissing-on-the-cheek and freezing-up, and then after that there'd been that large strain in their relationship courtesy of his tasks-

Still! No reason to panic! If he had confidence in himself, he could make sure Haruto enjoyed himself, and that was all that really mattered.

...was it strange that they'd been dating for over two months and this was only their third date?

Haruto was lost in his own thoughts for a moment and looking down at his own hands. He blinked and looked up at him when he spoke.

"Oh - uhm, I wouldn't mind, if you don't."

"That isn't the question, Haruto," Issei told him gently. "If you want to have some, I'll get you some. Would you like anything?"

Hartuo gave a nervous laugh, smiling at him.

"O-of course." he thought for a moment and then smiled at him, "Let's get something that the both of us can share."

I don't know what food is in Japanese concession stands!

"That's fine," Issei answered, returning his smile. "Let's see, there's always popcorn, that's good for sharing..."

neither do i! xD lets go with popcorn, then because that's what i was going to say anyways ^^;

Haruto smiled at him, nodding.

"That sounds like a good idea. Let's get that."

Okay! ...I also don't know how to describe the movie.

Issei nodded and paid for their popcorn. "Let's see, our theater number should be #2, right this way."

Haruto followed Issei and spotted the theater, holding the door open for him.

"You pick the seat." he suggested.

Aww, Haruto was holding the door open for him - wait, no, he wasn't supposed to think of Haruto in conjunction with 'aww', that made him embarrassed. "Something in the middle of the theater all right with you?" Issei asked, picking out a few seats in a mostly empty isle.

Haruto nodded as he followed the other boy in. The lights were already dimmed which made Haruto a little uneasy, and he felt the same familiar heat rise up in his cheeks. While the reason was beyond him, he tried not to think about it, and averted any possible gaze from Issei by looking at the ground to "watch his step".

"The middle is fine." he agreed, silently screaming for the heat in his face to go away!

At least the darkness meant that his blushing was less visible. Issei smiled and nodded, heading to the seats he'd picked out. There seemed to be plenty of time before the movie started - they weren't even playing the trailers yet, so they had some time to relax. Hopefully.

Oh, good they were early. Better than late, he assumed. He waited for Issei to sit before her took the seat beside. Darkness or not, he could still feel the heat in his own face, which made him feel awkward and it took an awful lot of energy from himself to not fidget.

Issei was as oblivious to the finer points of Haruto's mood as usual, focused as he was on making sure that everything went well for his boyfriend. Including the pre-movie conversation.

...Issei was rapidly discovering that he was bad at making pre-movie conversation. Hopefully something would come to him if he could get Haruto to talk. "S-so, what have you been doing lately?"

Haruto blinked, lost in his own thoughts for a moment until Issei spoke and smiled at him.

"Oh... Nothing else out of the ordinary. I've been trying to study more, but its always been difficult for me to do that with the school spirits and the chairman."

"I see..." Issei let out a long sigh. "I do wish he'd let up on you a little. Do you think he could be convinced to spare you, at least for a while?"

Haruto looked to him, sitting back and titling his head at him.

"W-what do you mean?

"It's obvious that you want the chairman to leave you alone, and I... wish I could do something to help," Issei admitted softly. "I don't like knowing that he keeps bothering you."

Haruto felts his cheeks flush again. He looked away for a moment, down at his hands.

"Oh, well - I've honestly gotten used to it... Its strange now, if he doesn't bother me." he replied sheepishly, and looked back to Issei.

"He does tend to go a little over board, but... I don't think he means to..."

That didn't make Issei happy at all, but... "I suppose I can accept that. But if it ever gets to be too much for you, I'm always willing to intercede on your behalf," he replied. "...Still, I'm glad you're all right."
