This is ridiculous.

I hope no one asks why a Buddhist monk is buying a cross... I don't think anyone's stupid enough to give them a worldhop, but better safe than sorry.

You're a monk?

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2008-08-22 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
People seem surprised to hear that. Yes, actually.

[identity profile] milk-assassin.livejournal.com 2008-08-22 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
Ow well in that case I don't think you need a Cross. I found this site because those two were annoying and I was bored- it said "Christian symbols may be replaced with other religious symbols according to the belief system of the wielder and/or vampire. In other words, if a person, confronted by a hungry and hostile vampire, presents any symbol, which they truly believe to represent the power of Light and Goodness, their very belief will manifest itself in a force sufficient to drive away the undead."

So I think by proxy and logic you can't be a vampire

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2008-08-22 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
Really? That's interesting, I didn't know that. The question is whether those two know that...

[identity profile] milk-assassin.livejournal.com 2008-08-22 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
Probably not, but who cares?

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2008-08-22 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
I do. I don't want to wave a conch shell at them only to have them tell me it doesn't count and try to kill me anyway.

[identity profile] milk-assassin.livejournal.com 2008-08-22 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
Well it's not like they're going to just pop on your doorstep suddenly you know.

Besides everyone so far seems to thing they're crazy. Nobody in their right mind would give them a worldhop.

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2008-08-22 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
I know, but it still worries me. I'd rather not have a pair of lunatics out there aiming to kill me.

[identity profile] milk-assassin.livejournal.com 2008-08-22 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
Should I give you the site I found that at, in case you want to find something else?

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2008-08-22 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
It would be helpful. Thank you.

Have fun.

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2008-08-22 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
I will!

I'm not familiar with the concept of a "vampire" but judging by the general comments, he seems to be a bit... deluded?

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2008-08-22 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
More than a little.

Let's see... a vampire is an evil, undead creature that sucks the blood of the living.

[identity profile] purrifying-wind.livejournal.com 2008-08-22 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
Really? Hmm. That sounds a little like some Pokemon legends I've heard...

If that's what a vampire is, then I am almost certain he's deluded. I am a bit new here, but I have yet to see anyone who fits that description.

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2008-08-22 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
I haven't, either. And I know I'm not one of them.

[identity profile] purrifying-wind.livejournal.com 2008-08-22 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
Is there any way you can convince him otherwise?

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2008-08-22 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
I've tried, with no success.

You could keep garlic!

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2008-08-22 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
One of the monks is allergic, unfortunately.

[personal profile] maraich 2008-08-22 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
Really? That must suck. Garlic can spice up some meals!

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2008-08-22 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
I'm quite fond of it, personally, but I could live without it.
maraich: (Heh heh?)

[personal profile] maraich 2008-08-22 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
You could just smack them on the head if they come for you.

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2008-08-22 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
I'd certainly try, but that's about the extent of my knowledge of self-defense.

Go for the knees. They break easy and it's kind of hard for them to follow you if they have broken legs.

You see all these silly people try to fight off attackers by hitting them in the torso instead of going for their weak spots!
