unknownrival: (Inwardly facepalming. Really...)

[Voice post]

Would someone please interrogate me so that we may find out if this time I have my actual memories? Please? [Issei sighs.] This is getting tiresome.

N-not that I'm saying being married to him was bad! I mean, of all the people I could be married to of course I'd most like to marry him. But, but I don't mean that I intend to get married right away either! B-but eventually, probably-

I'm going to stop talking now.

Yes, that's what I meant.

Even beyond being a detective. Do you notice how many people are responsible for saving communities, cities, countries, worlds? Half of them seem to be sixteen. At this point, I wonder if maturity is tied to age at all.

You're right. It's a lot like why manga, anime, and console game heroes are all teenagers, but that's a creative choice. The target audience is more likely to connect with protagonists that share their age.

Although, I think you're right. Maturity doesn't seem to be based on age at all. I mean, just look at myself, Conan-kun, or Ai-kun.

I'm not saying that we should ignore age completely, but there are reasonable exceptions. Then again, people who are mature in other aspects may not be mature in regards to romance, so it may be a moot point.

That's true enough there... I don't the first thing about dating or love, or anything like that...

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2009-10-14 11:10 am (UTC)(link)
You're not the only one.

[identity profile] truthinfortune.livejournal.com 2009-10-14 04:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Kaito says that love is really quite simple, and that it's people who make it complicated. What are your thoughts on that statement?

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2009-10-14 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
That's a good way of putting it. The emotion itself is pure, but figuring out what to do with it...

[identity profile] truthinfortune.livejournal.com 2009-10-14 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Kaito is certainly more wise than I would have given him credit for...

Maybe he's right. Maybe I do tend to over analyze things.

I'm sure it's a useful trait for a detective. Just not in the area of romance.

[identity profile] truthinfortune.livejournal.com 2009-10-14 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
You're right about that! Besides, I've never been a big fan of romance novels or films in the first place.

I think you have excellent taste.

[identity profile] truthinfortune.livejournal.com 2009-10-14 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Personally, I prefer detective literature and sci-fi novels. They're far more exciting!

I read more poetry than anything else, but I can appreciate the occasional science fiction.

[identity profile] truthinfortune.livejournal.com 2009-10-14 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I read poetry from time to time. It's a nice break from my normal fare, and it can be quite relaxing, not to mention thought provoking.

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2009-10-14 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I've tried my hand at writing a little, but I'm not very skilled at it.

[identity profile] truthinfortune.livejournal.com 2009-10-15 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
You've written poetry? You really are talented Issei-kun.

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2009-10-15 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, well, it's really not very good. Talent involves actually being decent at it.

An artist is his worst critic. You won't know whether your work is good or bad unless you let others see it.

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2009-10-15 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
I've let a select few others see it. It's bad, I assure you.

...oh. Well, you could become better, with practice, if you desire.

I think I'm more of a reader than a writer, frankly, but I'll keep that in mind.
