Aug. 24th, 2010 08:53 pm[You know Henry, right? Dog with decaying flesh? Okay, good. Henry and Issei are out for a walk in the woods. He has a collar and a leash and everything.
Issei finds a nice clear spot, and takes off the leash. In his other hand he has a tennis ball, which he throws a short distance.] Fetch!
[Henry just gives him a look.]
...you really have no interest in toys, do you... This is the third item I've tried. Ah, well, I'm sure I'll discover a way to make this work eventually...

May. 27th, 2010 04:21 am[At first, there's no picture. All that can be seen is a blank screen. However, Issei starts to speak.]
Do you know the festival Ryuujin Matsuri? The dragon god of Fuyuki's river Miongawa rampaged many, many years ago. A traveling monk prayed for three days and three nights. At the end of that, the dragon was converted to Buddhism. The monk joined Ryudoji Temple, and the dragon god taught judo to the monks there.
Myself, I prefer karate.
[Finally a picture appears. It's the hallway of Issei's school. Issei is standing calmly over another male teenager, who is lying on the ground groaning in pain.]
And that's why you're on the floor right now. Hm, that festival is coming up, isn't it? I should be preparing...
((Before anyone gets on my case, him being skilled at karate is obscure, just-translated for me canon. Sob.))

May. 21st, 2010 09:36 pm[The figure in the video may not be recognizable at first, because he's bent over with his head in a trash can, rummaging around. This continues for several moments.
Eventually, he finds what he's looking for and the person is revealed: Issei, clutching his Kaitou Kid plushie tightly.]
I swear on my soul, I'll never forget you again and mistreat you in such a way... now, I need to go apologize to my friends for my failure.

May. 8th, 2010 02:23 am[Issei is praying. Anyone who knows anything of Japanese Buddhism will recognize that. Even those who aren't familiar will know that he isn't doing it very well. He keeps stopping and restarting after making a mistake. Eventually, he gives up altogether.]
I'm a failure as a monk... If I cannot purify myself of such base thoughts, of what use am I? I should, should be running the streets rather than living in a temple!
[There's a loud thunk.]
Ow. Even beating my head against the wall will not remove these thoughts, it seems. Dear Buddha, help me...

May. 2nd, 2010 05:00 pm[OH GOD WHAT IS THAT
It's apparently some kind of dog, and it yelps before knocking into the camera again.]
Down, boy! [Issei comes into the room, and the... creature rushes over to him and licks his face.]
I guess this is as good a time as any to introduce Henry to all of you. Isn't he cute? Birkin gave him to me! None of the monks are allergic to him, it's wonderful!

Apr. 29th, 2010 07:52 pmIn Issei's room, the two Isseis stare each other down.
The one in brown - the real Issei - says, "You're not me. You're not even a part of me, like my Shadow was. You broke up with Haruto so you could gallivant around, you viciously attacked my friends - you're the antithesis of my loyalty, what I am."
The one in black - the new Issei - answers, "That's right. And because of that, I'm much stronger than you will ever be. You're weak."
A laugh comes out of the real Issei's lips. "You're the weak one. And I won't allow you to hurt my friends any longer." Then he speaks in another language, and the words have power: "Erlösch."
"Wh-what?" The new Issei starts to fade. "You don't have any power! You can't use magic!"
"That's right, I can't. Even now, I'm copying off of what Tohsaka does. Erlösch." The real Issei smiles grimly. "But I've said it before that loyalty is the core of my being, my Origin. I can do anything if it's loyal enough. You have no Origin. What is your being supposed to be? Erlösch!"
Before the other Issei can answer, he disappears completely.
Issei collapses to the ground.

Apr. 15th, 2010 07:56 pmThe video turns on when a pillow hits it. Young Issei and Eisuke are laughing and throwing pillows at each other. Eisuke seems to be winning their impromptu pillow fight.
Finally, the storm of pillows dies down. Issei leans back on one and asks his new friend, "Eisuke?"
"Yeah?" Eisuke asks, blinking.
"What do you think of girls?" Issei wonders aloud.
Eisuke closes his eyes, deep in thought. "Girls are... mysterious."
"So they are," Issei agrees. "So they are."

[Issei is shaking with the force of his sobs. He's obviously been crying for a while.
Eventually, the sobs slow down enough for him to get some words out in between them.]
That wasn't me. The person who hospitalized my father and brother, who drove the other monks to attack each other, who spoke to you all so cruelly - that wasn't me. I could never do such a thing to my family!
Why, wh-why did this happen? What did I possibly do to deserve anyone's ire enough for them to do this? Why did I fail my family and let this happen?! I should have resisted, I should have...
Father... R-Reikan-nii...
[And he bursts into a fresh wave of tears.]

Mar. 10th, 2010 07:15 amI have a question - how do you convince your father that just because you've turned nineteen and have a boyfriend, it is not a good time to start speaking of heirs? I love him dearly, but he takes the duties that come from being the head of the temple too much to heart. I haven't even inherited yet, and I'm not old enough to have children!

I wish this wound would heal quickly. It's in an obvious place that draws questions, and how am I to explain that the day-to-day affairs of a monk led me to being pricked with a weapon? I'm not even sure of what happened, myself.
((Part 1 of the Mukuro plot is go! ...yeah, part 1's not that interesting. Part 2 comes tomorrow and will be much cooler.))

[Open RL - Issei's birthday party.]
Mar. 3rd, 2010 07:05 pmThe temple had a large room with tables and chairs, usually used for meetings between the monks. Right now it had been appropriated for Issei's birthday party, and was full of food and streamers. Guests were milling about, talking to each other and waiting for Issei to arrive.
Which he did, dropping his jaw at the sight. "Wh-what is all this?"
((Feel free to talk to each other and to Issei! Enjoy~))

Feb. 16th, 2010 09:48 pmI'm not going to cheat on him. Not with Kid, not with Shirou. I would never cheat on him, even with a person I loved, because I also love him and you don't cheat on people you love.
But apparently, you can't love two or three or four people equally! You can only love one the most. And of course that person isn't the one you're dating. You're being disloyal just by dating anyone at all.
And if you love two people, you're fated to cheat on them. There's no such thing as self control! If you have to love more than one person, you might as well just never date anyone for your entire life to keep yourself from harming them! Who cares if you're unloved forever, if they're safe from you?
In fact, why don't you just go ahead and DIE FOR THEM?! It's the only way to prove that your love isn't just a selfish emotion, it's the only way to date them and not eventually betray them! Go ahead! I know I would!
'Take what you want from me, strip me bare, send me into certain death.' If you can't even respect my loyalty, which is the entirety of my being, how can you respect me at all?!
((Hakuba really made Issei flip out with his assertion that Issei couldn't love two people at the same time. Replies will be voice, he's not well enough to type correctly.))

Dec. 21st, 2009 12:37 amYou know, I had almost forgotten what it was like to have to actually campaign for student council president. I've been running unopposed for so long... I ought to see if the council has made any progress toward finding a replacement for me.
I'd say that I was grateful that my teachers were not normally that strange, except I can't actually decide if Fujimura-sensei makes a more bewildering English teacher than Excalibur-sensei.
Ah, and Kuroba, I was serious about what I said to you on the subject of making sure you could attend one of Kid's heists. I'm more determined to, since Kid is now more likely to listen to my concerns than he was. What is your schedule?

Dec. 16th, 2009 07:20 amThe elections for Student Council, and more specifically Student Council President, are almost upon us. I - it would be lying to say that I didn't feel a bit nervous. But that's healthy.
I trust I can count on a few of your votes? Remember that students must vote to fully use their power in the school system, etc., etc., you've all heard the morning announcements about why you should participate in the election.
Good luck to you as well, Minazuki.
((Most/all tags will come after school, sigh. I just couldn't keep the post in any longer.))
