If any of my fangirls from school ask why I didn't send them White Day gifts, I'll say that I was busy running the temple. I wouldn't have done it either way, but at least I have an excuse.

We met over this community. She's very bright for her age. Sweet, too.

Ah, you're too kind. She visited me once, and apparently I made enough of an impression in person that she sent me Valentine's Day chocolate.

Nah, it's true. Off the top of my head, you're one of the few that I'd trust talking to her over this thing. She did? Ha, that's my girl.

I shall take it as a compliment. She says she tried to make homemade chocolate first, but they didn't turn out very well. I'm sure she'll become skilled at that, too, in time.

Hopefully she'll take after her mother in that regard; can't say that I'm any good in the kitchen. Can't blame someone that young if they buy chocolate instead of making it.

One thing I'm glad for is that I didn't receive nearly so much candy this time around. I might actually be able to eat it all this time!

Well, my female fans still outnumber my male fans by about two to one...

I don't really mind receiving chocolates from classmates, not anymore. That sort of attention used to annoy me a great deal when I first started school in Inaba, but now... not so much anymore. I've actually taken the time to talk to some of my fellow classmates, and they're not as shallow or as immature as I once thought.

Is that so? I should take the opportunity to speak to mine, then. Perhaps you and I will be fortunate in the same way.

I think I was doing them a disservice before. I always complained of being judged based solely on my appearances, and yet I was guilty of doing the same thing. I've made it clear to everyone that I have no romantic interest in my fellow classmates, and though they were disappointed, they understood my feelings.

Actually, I think many of the female students think Kanji and I make a "cute couple"...

See, I fear that happening to me and Haruto. I've seen what happens when fangirls get a pairing into their heads as something they enjoy; it isn't pretty.
