Issei was very, very nervous.

His experience in doing... couple things was practically nil, and Archer was coming over. To his house. On Valentine's Day. What was he going to do? What if he did something stupid and wrong and they broke up? What if he tried to kiss him and it was too soon? What if one of them choked on a chocolate?!

Forcing himself to calm down, Issei paced outside the entrance to the temple and waited anxiously for Archer to arrive.

Archer grinned and replied, "Well, Japanese food is what I cook the best so I hope I don't disappoint."

He looked at the box of chocolate an asked, "So, what's that?"

"That's chocolate. F-for you, obviously. Like I said earlier, I don't have much experience cooking, but... I hope you like them," Issei replied, a little embarrassed. Did Archer really have to ask what it was?

Archer smiled at Issei and said, "Thank you Issei." He opened the box an broke off a piece. He slowly nibbled on it, chewing thoughtfully. "Next time use more vanilla, but it's wonderful. Thank you."

Then he leaned forward an gave Issei a quick kiss.

"You're wel-" Issei cut off suddenly as Archer kissed him, his face turning a bright shade of red. He was still in immobile shock by the time the kiss was over, and only then managed to react. "A-A-A-Archer?"

"Yes Issei," Archer murmured with his eyes closed as a small grin spread across his face.

"Y-you, so suddenly, what was that for?" Issei asked, barely able to make a coherent sentence.

Archer cupped Issei's face and leaned down. He replied, "Because I wanted to."

W-well, that was a good reason, Issei thought dazedly. A-and at least he hadn't messed it up... besides by just standing there. He would do better next time.

That must have been why he leaned up and clumsily pressed his lips to Archer's.

Archer smiled at Issei as he clumsily pressed his lips against his. He cupped the side of Issei's face as he returned the kiss. He smiled as he let Issei go. "It'll burn if you keep that up," he teased, "But considering how warm your face was, I think you were going to as well."

Issei blushed as he pulled away from Archer. "O-of course. I... might've forgot about dinner, actually."

"Of course you did," Archer said with a wink as he started dishing food.

His blush darkened. "N-not that it doesn't look delicious! I just, um, was sidetracked."

Archer reached out to smooth Issei's hair from his face. He replied, "You're thinking I look delicious."

Issei gaped at him, blushing madly and squeaking out, "W-w-w-w-what?! Th-that - I wasn't - you are, but - why would you say that?!"

"To get that exact same reaction," Archer chuckled as he handed Issei a plate of food.

"I was talking about the food," Issei grumbled, picking up a piece of curry with his chopsticks and eating it. "...This is really good."

((I, um, know nothing about how curry is supposed to be eaten.))

"Of course I made it," Archer said with a chuckle.

"Well, of course - I didn't doubt your abilities. I just didn't know before how good of a cook you really were." Issei took another bite.

"I'd surprise you," Archer said with a grin as they continued to eat.

After they were done eating, Issei asked, "How have you been lately, Archer?"

"Contemplating my existence," Archer replied with a grin.

"I see. That hasn't changed recently, has it? I'd hoped that someone on here might be able to help with that, but perhaps that's too much to hope for." Issei paused. "But at least it isn't so bad right now."

"Well, I'd like to stay here," Archer admitted with a grin.

"That's good, because I'd like to keep you here," Issei answered, feeling a smile stretch across his own face.

Archer smiled at that and replied, "And what would you do with me here?"
