Issei hummed softly to himself as he sat on the top step of the stairs to the temple. It really was a beautiful day outside - the sun was shining, the breeze was blowing, his boyfriend was coming over for a visit and would be arriving in a few minutes - everything he could have wanted out of the day.

"But I'm sure Archer will surprise me with something I didn't even know I wanted," he remarked. "Even after a few months, it's rare that what he says doesn't make me blush."

Oh, well. Some things never changed. And Issei would have been lying if he said that he didn't enjoy it.

Archer was dressed in his normal black civilian wear with a book he knew Issei would find interesting. He smiled at the thought of seeing Issei again, his heart starting to pick up in anticipation.

He smiled as he saw his boyfriend and waved at him. He handed him the bag and said, "I saw this and thought of you."

"For me?" Issei asked curiously as he rose to his feet and accepted the bag. "You didn't have to, but thank you very much. I'll make it up to you."

He bowed low, a small blush darkening his cheeks. "Thank you for coming. It's always good to see you."

Archer smiled as he took Issei's hand, inwardly chuckling as Issei blushed. He replied, "Your constant habit of blushing is part of the reason I do that."

"Oh, really? I'd thought about working on that habit, but I guess I shouldn't if you like it so much." Issei smiled up at him, enjoying the feel of Archer's hand in his. "Please, come inside."

"What's inside?" Archer teased as he followed Issei inside.

"Somewhere to sit down, for one thing," Issei replied lightly. "And since you made dinner last time, it's only right that I cook you something."

"I had no idea you can cook," Archer mused, "Can you make tea as well."

"Not as well as you can, but I'll try if you want me to," Issei answered. "I hope I won't disappoint too badly."

"Well, I could critique you on your technique," Archer said as he rubbed his thumb on the back of Issei's wrist.

Issei blushed lightly at the physical contact. He still hadn't really gotten used to that. "Th-that would probably help me improve, wouldn't it?"

"Obviously," Archer said with a smile as Issei blushed. Feeling impish, Archer bent forward and kissed her forehead.

Issei's blush darkened considerably. "Wh-what was that for?" he stammered, looking up at him.

"Because of that response," Archer replied with a smirk.

"That's unfair," Issei grumbled. "I can never get that much of a response out of you."

"Of course, I'm older and more experienced," Archer replied with a smile.

"I still should be able to surprise you sometimes," Issei answered, leaning up to steal a quick kiss.

Archer took Issei in his arms and returned the kiss and deepened it. He ran his hand through Issei's indigo hair. He parted with a smile and said, "And I can counter it."

Issei's cheeks flushed even more as Archer drew him into the kiss. When he parted, the teen answered with hazy eyes, "You're right. But I guess you winning isn't so bad, either."

"I'm skilled in some areas," Archer said with a smirk.

"So you've demonstrated," Issei replied, still blushing. Of course Archer meant kissing, what else could he be talking about?

"Others you haven't seen yet," Archer replied with a tiny smug grin as he stroked Issei's head.

"Do you plan on showing those any time soon?" No, Issei still hadn't gotten it. There was nothing wrong with wanting to see more of your boyfriend's talents, right?

"Depends," Archer said as they walked into the temple.

"On what?" Issei asked, leading Archer into the kitchen, where he set the bag down.

Archer smiled and said, "Depends on you."
