Issei hummed softly to himself as he sat on the top step of the stairs to the temple. It really was a beautiful day outside - the sun was shining, the breeze was blowing, his boyfriend was coming over for a visit and would be arriving in a few minutes - everything he could have wanted out of the day.

"But I'm sure Archer will surprise me with something I didn't even know I wanted," he remarked. "Even after a few months, it's rare that what he says doesn't make me blush."

Oh, well. Some things never changed. And Issei would have been lying if he said that he didn't enjoy it.

"Aside from being able to have dinner, why would it be better if it were night?" Issei asked curiously.

"I can show you one of my servant abilities," Archer replied.

"Oh, it's because of secrecy? There's usually no one in the woods at the back of the temple. Would that do?" Issei asked.

"Well, it involves me jumping up several stories in the air," Archer said dryly.

"...you're right, that could be difficult to hide. Maybe that should wait until nighttime."

((He's gonna take him flying, isn't he? Eee~ I'm willing to fast forward past dinner if you are.))

"Plus it is sort of a rule," Archer said with a smile.

((Hells yes Archer's going to take him flying.))

"Even once the war's over, you still have to follow the rules? I'll abide by them as well, then. Oh, but there was something I wanted to talk to you about."

And so they chatted away, as time passed.

When it was after dark and dinner was over, Issei asked, "So what was it that you wanted to show me?"

((Yay~ Skipping past dinner because that would probably involve NPCing Issei's family, which I didn't get permission to do.))

Archer smiled, stood up and asked, "Well, do you trust me?"

"Of course I do," Issei answered instantly.

Archer took Issei into his arms and jumped into the sky.

Whatever Issei had been expecting, it certainly wasn't that. (W-what if he slipped out of Archer's grasp and fell? What if someone saw them? How on earth was he doing this?!) He clung to Archer for dear life.

Archer smiled as he easily held Issei as he bounded from roof top to rooftop to gain altitude. They went higher and higher in the sky and Archer smiled.

Slowly, Issei began to calm down. Archer probably had done this hundreds of times before; he wouldn't drop him. Cautiously, he took a look around the city.

"...It's beautiful from up here."

Archer smiled as he sat them down on the tallest building in Shinto. He looked around and said, "It is, isn't it?"

"Yes, it is." Issei turned his head and smiled at him. "Thank you for taking me here, Archer. I... really don't know what to say."

"You don't need to say anything, just enjoy the view," Archer said with a smile as he looked over his beloved city.

Issei pressed closer into Archer's side and watched the city for a few more moments. "...do you do this often?"

Archer automatically wrapped his arm around Issei's waist and quietly nodded. He answered, "Actually, yeah, I do."

"I can see why." Issei sighed wistfully, a slight blush visible on his cheeks. "When you do amazing things for me like this, I never know how to repay you."

"Just keep being you," Archer told him with a grin as he continued to hold him.

"I don't think being me is as awe-inducing as this is," Issei pointed out with a small smile.

"Well, you do have your moments," Archer teased lightly.

"I'm not quite sure what you mean. Care to elaborate?" Issei answered.

"If I did, then I wouldn't get to tease you by not telling you," Archer pointed out with a grin.

"Fine. Then I just won't tell you about your moments, either," Issei replied, blushing slightly.
