[RL - Touchy-Feely Virus]

Issei was not exactly at his most alert after waking up, and certainly not at his most alert after waking up after passing out from stress and exhaustion. (He really hadn't gotten enough sleep when he was at Shirou's house. That could have been a problem.)

Thus, when he noticed that he was curled up - snuggling, really - with someone who hadn't been there the night before, he wasn't nearly as startled as he should have been. Mostly, he was just confused. "...Is that you, Haruto?"

Haruto had turned to look back out the window and then moved along after Issei when he went back down the hall. He gave a smile and another soft laugh - well what else would a kitchen look like?

He beamed again and nodded, "I love them."

"Then I'm sure you'll like our library." When they came to a large set of doors, Issei opened one of them to reveal a room with long rows of shelves of books. "You're welcome to borrow any of these, by the way. We don't mind."

It was heaven. Books, upon books, and all seemingly endless. It was spectacular. While the books in his own school were sometimes filled with something other than letters, and information.

He beamed more than he had been before.

"Its amazing!" he chimed, clapping his hands together and overwhelmed for a split second by a sickening feeling before making a grab for Issei's hand once more.

"S-sorry." he apologized softly.

Issei winced for a moment before the contact returned. "It's all right. I can't expect you to remember all the time."

"I'm glad you like it," he added. "Would you like to stay here and read for a while, or would you rather move on?"

He smiled sheepishly, laughing nervously, rubbing the back of his head with his free hand. At least it was excused, for it.

"This place is wonderful, but I would like to see what else is there." he answered honestly, smiling.

"All right, but let me know when you want to come back," Issei replied, closing the door. "The tour won't take that much longer."

Haruto nodded, "I will. Since I don't seem able to get very far from you without feeling ill."

He smiled in response to his second comment. He was happy to at least not feel awkward anymore, and that at least he was finding out more about Issei.

"I'll be happy to take you wherever you want to go. You are the guest, after all."

Issei continued down the hallway. "Our main hall is here, and - normally you would have seen the outside of the temple already, but it's a bit unusual in your case, isn't it?" He led Haruto out of the temple to get a better look at it.

Whether this had been willing or not, at least it was proving to be a good visit.

"I'll try not to be too much of a bother, though." he assured him, smiling still. He followed beside him, still holding his hand - which at this point would confuse him, but with the given circumstances it made perfect sense to him.

He looked up at the temple, obviously impressed. Other religions were as they were to everyone else, a mystery that Haruto wanted to find out about.

"It's not a bother at all," Issei reassured him. "Make yourself at home."

He noticed the impressed look on Haruto's face. "I don't notice it as much because I see it every day, but it really is a beautiful temple."

Haruto blinked when he was spoken too, and smiled at him.

"Yes, it is. I rarely see temples like these, I usually remain either at school or in the chapel."

Besides the last time he entered a temple it was haunted and gave him nightmares.

"Well, I've rarely been to chapels, so it's more or less the same here. There's a church not that far from here, but the priest... is really creepy," Issei admitted. "Actually, let's not talk about him."

Haruto blinked, at him looking away from the temple.

"Why is he creepy?"

"I don't know. Something about him just unsettles me, and I usually trust my instincts."

Issei turned his head. "Should we go back inside? There's not much more to see; just the main hall and the lecture hall."

Haruto made a curious hum about the Priest, but considering Issei's tone about him, he decided against questioning further. He nodded, looking back to him.

"Hmm, lead the way." he replied, nodding and smiling.

Issei nodded and stepped back inside the temple, opening the door to the main hall slightly. Even at this early hour, monks were inside praying and going about the rituals of the day.

As he stepped in Haruto felt as if he was suddenly the loudest person in the world. His free hand came to his mouth, as if to silence any possible sounds that might have made at the sight.

It was stunning. Much like looking upon a Virgin Mary statue after a long hard day. He'd never seen anything like it.

Issei waited for a few moments in a reverent silence, before drawing back a little from the door. He didn't want to interrupt Haruto, who seemed to be enthralled by the sight; it reminded him of when he was a child and liked nothing better than to sit in the main hall and listen to the monks.

On the other hand, he didn't want to interrupt the monks' praying.

Haruto was ten again, amazed by what he saw before him until he noticed that Issei move back towards the door. He blinked and followed still slightly transfixed by the monks before him.

He wanted to ask questions, but was still afraid that his voice might rattle and break whatever stunning silence might still linger within the temple.

Quietly, Issei shut the door. "You're welcome to attend the public services any time you like, but it would be better to come in at the beginning, rather than interrupt," he explained softly. "My apologies."

Haruto was still beaming even after the stunning imagery of the monks praying had been shut away from him. He smiled at Issei, and nodded.

"Oh, its fine. From what I saw, it looks amazing."

"It is," Issei agreed, a faraway look in his eyes. "I can't remember ever not wanting to become a monk, even when I was young.

"What about you? Do you know what you'll be doing after you graduate?"

Haruto smiled at him and gave a soft sigh thinking for a moment. He wanted to go to University, but his father always assumed that he would take after him and tend to the Chapel.

"I want to go to University, but my father would like me to become a Minister like him."

Issei thought over that for a moment. "...It may be forward of me to give my opinion, but... I think you should do what you want to do, rather than what your father wants you to do. In the long run, you both will probably be happier that way."

"I do plan to go to University." he assured him, confidently, "Although, because of the Council, it seems I may have to take a year off from University to study a bit more..."
