Deep breaths. Deep, calming breaths.

Issei waited at the bottom of the stairs to the temple, expecting Haruto to arrive at any moment. It wouldn't do for him to see Issei panicking - he wanted Haruto to be as at ease as possible, and knowing the other boy, him panicking would probably make Haruto panic.

Deep breaths. It was just Haruto; there was absolutely nothing to worry about.

Issei's blush deepened enormously. Haruto thought that of him? Really?

"Y-you speak too kindly of me. I'm really no one special, there's no reason I would be popular."

"But its true." Haruto encouraged, honestly.

"I'm sure there are many people who would agree with me."

"You're too kind," Issei mumbled, feeling his cheeks heat up even more.

"What about you? Do you have many friends?"

"Only the ones at school, and the community... and you." he added, looking away at his hands then back up to him.

Issei smiled at him gently. "I'm honored to be one of that group, then."

Haruto smiled back at him, beaming again.

"I am glad to be in yours."

Issei's smile widened. "That means a lot to me - oh, look, our waitress has our food."

Haruto smiled at him and then looked up at the waitress as she came up to them. Haruto thanked her softly, and examined the meal before him debating what to take first.

I'm calling in for the night. Should we skip past the boring eating stuff?
