Issei did not like to use the word 'flailing' in relation to anything he might have done. Nor did he accept the use of 'spluttering', 'tomato face', '*keyboard smash*', and the like. He wasn't even all that fond of using 'blushing', although he couldn't avoid admitting to that one.

There were a few occasions, however, where Issei couldn't deny that any or all of the above were appropriate terms to describe what happened. The first occasion being, of course, that time Shirou told him to strip.

I-in his defense, what else was he supposed to do? It was completely sudden and out of nowhere! A-and he wanted him to, to, and Issei thought that he was going to - akldsklfkslf.

Issei waited for a moment after turning on the water to make sure that it was loud enough to muffle his own voice. Not that he expected anyone to be listening to him shower, and he'd done this plenty of times, but one couldn't be too careful, particularly not if-

"When the night breaks, anyone can be a hero~"

-you were going to sing in the shower. He didn't need to give anyone else another method of embarrassing him, after all.

As expected, none of the other monks could hear him over the sound of the water. Issei had not, however, planned for the possibility that the community would post a video of his shower to his journal. They didn't even have a camera in there! ...Or at least, he hoped they didn't.

It took someone specifically pointing it out to him for him to realize that, besides there being a video of him singing, there was now a video of him naked on the internet.

In the ensuing panic and spluttering, he failed to notice that the video never panned below his chest. It would have been small comfort nonetheless - it was still a naked video! Everyone knew it was, and the suggestion of it was just as bad as outright showing it! He would never be able to show his face again!

"Ah, Kuzuki-sensei, are you in here? I wanted to speak to you about-"

Fifteen minutes later, after an immediate closing of the opened door, extreme embarrassment and blushing on the parts of both Issei and Caster (not so much Kuzuki, who had to be reminded that being walked in on meant that you stopped having relations with your fiancée for the moment), the three were something approaching being ready to have a conversation.

Which basically boiled down to this: "Y-you two, you really ought to get a lock on the door. We don't have them because we're monks, but you... erm..."

"I will install one at the next opportunity to do so."

"O-of course. We won't have any more incidents like this, Issei, you needn't worry."

"I appreciate it. (Incidents meaning being walked in on, or meaning the s-) Aldkldkslfkj!"

"...is that even a word?"

Issei was still spluttering at the screen when Shirou dropped by. "Do I want to know what's going on?" he asked.

"U-um, well, probably not. It's fine if you don't hear about it, really..." Issei answered weakly.

Shirou raised an eyebrow and took a look at the screen. Finding that most of its contents were voice clips (with some bizarrely scantily-clad icons accompanying them), he took a seat and started to listen to them.

By the time he had reached the end of Issei's thread with Kanji, Issei was covering his bright red face with his hands. "H-he's kidnapped! That's why I kept talking to him, I wanted to help, not to be... do... whatever he's suggesting!"

"He's hitting on you," Shirou told him matter-of-factly. Ignoring Issei's grumbles that it must be obvious if he was saying it, he continued, "Didn't that other girl you were telling me about flirt with you too?"

Issei sighed. "Amagi, and... yes, I suppose she did. In similar circumstances. Unfortunately."

"What does it say about you that the only people who are interested in you are kidnapped and brainwashed?" Shirou wondered aloud.

"Th-that isn't true! There's Haruto, who's... so mistreated by his friends that it's a wonder that he has any standards for a boyfriend... E-even so, that's just cruel to say."

It was nice.

Later, Issei would worry over whether kissing Haruto once meant that he was supposed to do so on every date, and flail over any thought of doing anything further.

But right at that moment, all he cared about was that it was nice, and that it made him happy to be kissing his boyfriend. And if Haruto felt the same way about it, what was there to panic over?
