I have a question - how do you convince your father that just because you've turned nineteen and have a boyfriend, it is not a good time to start speaking of heirs? I love him dearly, but he takes the duties that come from being the head of the temple too much to heart. I haven't even inherited yet, and I'm not old enough to have children!

I wish this wound would heal quickly. It's in an obvious place that draws questions, and how am I to explain that the day-to-day affairs of a monk led me to being pricked with a weapon? I'm not even sure of what happened, myself.

((Part 1 of the Mukuro plot is go! ...yeah, part 1's not that interesting. Part 2 comes tomorrow and will be much cooler.))

[Backdated to yesterday, since today he's... busy.]

I thank you for the empathy, Naoto.

I don't believe that's what happened.

Well, at least you don't have to actually give birth to your heirs. That's... not exactly something I'm looking forward to. At all.

...You're saying you have no recollection of injuring yourself?

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2010-03-12 08:13 am (UTC)(link)
Neither would I. Men have the advantage, in that area.

None, or it's very hazy.

I'm putting off the issue of heirs for as long as humanely possible. Grampa will just have to be patient with me until then.

That doesn't seem at all odd to you?

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2010-03-13 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
Ignoring the issue as a way to prolong life is an excellent trick.

It does, but there's little I can do about it.

He says he can't die until he's seen the face of my first born child. Grampa can be a little dramatic at times...

I suppose not. Did you do anything out of the ordinary the night before?

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2010-03-13 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
So can my father. They would get along well.

Nothing at all. It's very strange.

[identity profile] truthinfortune.livejournal.com 2010-03-13 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. Grampa could use the company. It's been ages since he's invited anyone over for tea.

Hm... Well, just make certain you bind the wound and keep it clean.

Father usually invites over Fujimura-oyabin and his family, but he could use someone to invite who isn't yakuza.

I will, rest assured.

I think now you're going to the other extreme by inviting a retired detective. I don't believe Grampa would criticize you on your father's choice of company, though. I can't say that all of Grampa's acquaintances were upstanding citizens.

[identity profile] stripping.livejournal.com 2010-03-13 08:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, Fujimura-oyabin's family includes a teacher, so some of them are upstanding... in a sense.
