My reasoning is...I'm unsure. I'm unsure about a great many things, and most of all I am unsure if I said that I would because I wanted to, or if I did so out of an obligation to see my Master happy.

I have lived far too long devoted to the singleminded purpose of making others happy. It is a good quality for a knight, to be sure; we are meant to put the welfare of others before ourselves. But I can not-...not when it comes to something like this.

Perhaps another day, when I can once more be sure of myself and have confidence in the choices I make. But for now...forgive me, but I will not again marry someone when I hold even a small measure of doubt in my heart.
