Anyway. He was just looking forward to seeing him right now. While he waited for Diarmuid's worldhop to arrive, he sat on the top step of the stairs to the temple, enjoying the warm afternoon.

Awkwardly, Issei got to his feet. "Shall we go inside?"

He relaxed a bit and led Lancer into the temple proper, and then into his room.

"I'm sorry about that."

"You have nothing to apologize for."

He stood a little awkwardly for a moment or two, seeming unsure for what to do before settling for sitting on the edge of the bed.

Issei sat down next to him with no fuss. "It's just a bedroom, Diarmuid."

"I-I'm aware of that." he replied, a little hesitantly.

"I can be a little less forceful if you want... I don't want to make you uncomfortable or mess anything up. I-I don't have date plans for our second date yet. I want that to be something nice."

"You've done nothing unacceptable, of that I assure you."

Lancer paused, actually fidgeting slightly before speaking again.

"You really don't need to plan anything particularly extravagant, you know."

"I want to make sure you have a good time." In ways that merely jumping his bones would not provide.

"I would enjoy myself just as much doing something simple and quiet with you."

"Just dinner, perhaps?"

[croibhristeoir]

"I would sincerely love that."

[unknownrival]

"Then it's agreed that I'll make you dinner."

[croibhristeoir]

"If it's not any trouble." he answered with a genuine smile.

"It's not." Issei smiled and lightly kissed him on the cheek.
