[This video, unlike most of the others, has a timestamp in the lower right corner. Right now, it's 8:35 PM, and Issei is lying on his futon in his sleeping yukata, obviously trying to get to sleep.

He closes his eyes. A few seconds after he does so, he lets out a yelp and jolts awake, breathing heavily.

The video skips to a few more times: 10:17, 11:20, 12:30. Each time, the process is repeated: Issei shuts his eyes, clearly tired, but every time he does some nightmare shocks him awake.

At the last one, he sighs and starts to speak.]

This can't go on. I need to find some way to get to sleep. Something to protect me from... from that. But I'm far too old to sleep in the room of any of the other monks, or even my family. I don't have a dog to curl up with, I won't call Haruto at this hour and for this reason, and I can't think of any other way to make my consciousness relax-

[He lifts his head, and stops. He's staring at his Christmas present from Kaito: a small Kid plushie. Blushing slightly, he continues:]

...at this point, I would try anything. If, if he were here, Kid would protect me, wouldn't he? And he shouldn't be able to take offense at that, so...

[Issei stands up and pulls the plushie off the shelf. No sooner does he lie back down and cuddle with it than he's fast asleep. The video continues for a few minutes to prove this, then dissolves into static.]

I didn't think so. You're just a big fan of his work. Truth be told, I wouldn't mind introducing him to my family, though I feel that would be entirely too awkward, considering that not only am I the detective chasing after him, but my Grampa was a famous detective as well. I suppose you have an easier time socializing with Kid than I ever will...

I think that's for the best. A Tatsumi plushie could certainly chase away anything that lurks in the dark of night.

My family's socialization with criminals goes back before I was born. It's still a bit of a surprise to have to defend him to people - my family thinks he's a fine man. Though, my brother likes everyone, so his opinion may not count.

I think he just has a strong sense of modesty, that's all. He makes them because he enjoys the work he puts into them, not because he can make money off of them. But he should understand that it makes the person who receives his work feel better if they can repay him in some way.

Well, you're delightfully domestic. I think someone like him can get used to having someone able to cook delicious meals for him. Also, you're very sweet and kind-hearted. You put the needs of others before your own, sometimes more often than you should, but it's a quality which endears you to others rather than alienates you. I think those are qualities which he could appreciate in someone, even if they're male.

I really can only cook breakfasts and desserts, and comfort foods. I leave most of the important meals to the better cooks in the temple. And I'm not much sweeter than most of the people on here...

I'm fairly certain Kaitou Kid possesses a sweet-tooth, given what we know about him.

Although, I've decided that maybe the best way to handle the situation is to formally write to each of them, expressing my disinterest in their affections. I mean, the students who keep sending me love notes aren't really bad people... What they do is annoying, but it's probably because I was always so unapproachable. They even offered to give me food and homemade remedies when I was ill, so their hearts were in the right place.

At least I won't have to worry about sending them chocolates. After all, the vast majority of my fans are girls.

I hope that works for you, but everyone knows I have a boyfriend! I made an announcement just so they'd stop chasing me, why hasn't it worked yet?

...Maybe they don't want to believe that you're homosexual? As crazy as it sounds... some people think they can "change" another person's sexual orientation if they try hard enough...
