Issei perked up at the sound of Archer's voice. "Of course. Hold on." Still clutching the blanket - which she had her normal clothes on under, she wasn't going to take any chances - she went to the door and opened it. "Thank you for coming on such short notice-"

Then she blinked up at Archer. "...Have you always been that tall?"

Archer blinked as Issei opened the door. He'd seen her face on the icons in the community, but he wasn't prepared for the real thing. Issei had been handsome as a boy, but as a girl she was absolutely stunning. Had he'd been a lesser man, and if he didn't have a snow ball's chance in hell with Rin, he realized he would have seduced "her" as she was now.

Besides . . .

The glasses . . .

He cleared his throat and answered, "Yeah . . . so, I have clothing."

It was probably a good thing that Issei didn't know about Archer's fondness for glasses. Half of what he said made her blush anyway - especially now that she was a girl - but she was still assuming that he didn't really find her attractive, and was just teasing her.

Archer might want to ask Rin to wear her glasses more often, though. Couldn't hurt.

"Th-thank you. I guess I'll go change, then..." She took the shopping bag from his hand and nearly fled into the safety of the bathroom.

Archer looked around the small hotel room and asked, "So, how are you, other than being a girl?"

A young, beautiful girl who's lusting more than a little bit after me, Archer thought, Who might even be a little in love with me . . .

"Not well at all," she said, sighing. "There's no doubt that the student council isn't doing anything in my absence, I'm missing schoolwork, and if my father thinks I'm at Emiya's and Emiya thinks I'm at home sick..."

Slightly muffled, she continued, "It can't end well."

Archer sat down in the chair in the room, wondering how this was going to look for Issei. He was an older man in an attractive teenage girl's room. Alone. And admittedly without sex for the equivalent of thousands of years.

Think of Rin . . . and how she's being emotionally distant because everyone in her damn life ends up leaving her or dying or choosing Saber.

"Talk to Emiya Shirou about it, Issei, he's stupid but he'd understand about this better than you'd think," he advised his indigo haired friend.

Oh, Issei assumed Archer was sleeping with Tohsaka. So it really only looked like an older man in a sort-of attractive teenage girl's room alone to him.

"I've considered that, but even if he does believe me, I really don't want him to find out about this place. If he were to join, he'd be affected by these things, and..." She sighed again. "I don't want to be the cause of that, even indirectly."

Archer wasn't looking directly at the indigo haired girl as he said, "True, but he should know that you're okay, Issei. He's worried about you. I know I would be if I was in his place."

"I'm fine. I mean, other than being a woman... He shouldn't have to worry about me."

"Well, he doesn't know where you're at, Issei," Archer said not looking up when his friend came out of the bathroom.

He did finally look up and he smiled, a blush tinting his own cheeks. "You do make a beautiful girl though, Issei."

"It's only for - h-hey, I'm not - you're just saying that to tease me!" she squeaked, her blush immediately darkening. "Really, Archer, stop doing that...!"

"No, I'm honestly telling the truth," Archer said with a teasing grin, "You're lovely, Issei-chan."

"S-S-Stop saying that!" she stammered out, her pitch rising even higher if that were possible. "L-Like I said, all I see is a grotesque mockery of what I should look like, so there's really no reason that you would think that!"

"Why? It's true," Archer said with a teasing grin.

"The 'grotesque mockery' part or the 'lovely' part!?"

Archer leaned closer, smiling even more as he replied, "The lovely part. Even though you could use smaller breasts, but you do have nice legs, a pretty face and gorgeous hair."

Isseis's face was now completely red as she struggled to find words. She failed miserably, instead settling for making choking sounds.

Archer chuckled at this and reached out to pet her hair. He smiled and teased, "You're even more fun to tease than Rin, Issei-chan."

Issei squirmed and took a few steps back. "...That's not really a compliment..."

Archer dropped his hand with a smile. He replied, "That wasn't meant to be one, but you are a lot of fun, but then you're fun anyway."

"...pah, flattering me after saying things like that..." She shook her head and moved to rummage around in the shopping bag, quick to change the subject.

"...you got me a dress," she said incredulously. "You bought me a dress?"

"Well, I was figuring I could take you someplace nice to eat," Archer said with a smile, "I mean, it wouldn't be fair to keep you cooped up like this, and no one is going to think you're you Issei-chan."

"...That's nice of you. Actually, I..." She paused before running a hand through her hair nervously. "I haven't been to most of the nicer places, since I can't afford them."

She looked back at Archer with a small smile. "I wouldn't mind."

He smiled at her and said, "Then allow me. I have enough money to treat us both. If you'll wear the dress."
