Is it generally considered strange for the head of a Buddhist temple to be best friends with the head of the local yakuza?

I thought I'd ask, given Father's Day and all.

As far as differences go, I imagine Birkin is my closest friend with the least expected similarities to me.

That makes it easy for me, since I usually use family names. However, we also had both Koizumi Akako and Koizumi Itsuki in the community at once, giving me the opposite problem.

That does put one in a difficult position. Was one perhaps older than the older? If that were the case, a difference in honorifics would be acceptable.

They looked about the same age.

That does make it harder. If one grows close to either in such a situation, that would make it a bit easier.
