[RL with Lancer - first date.]

Issei was nervous. He didn't remember being this nervous since his first date with Haruto, years ago. He was fidgeting for reasons other than the mild cold as he waited outside his temple gates.

What was he going to do? He had only a vague idea of what to do and what if Diarmuid didn't like any of his plans? What if he made him upset?

He didn't want to ruin their friendship. Not at all.

Issei let out a sigh. "He should be here soon... I'll have to stop panicking by then."

Lancer smiled honestly at that, though he was mostly back to trying not to seem nervous.

"What about you, did you enjoy it?"

"Absolutely."

Issei reached for Lancer's hand again. "I've made us reservations for dinner soon. It's not far from here, either."

"Alright." he replied, taking Issei's hand without a second thought. "I hope you did not go to much trouble for my sake."

"For you, I would do considerably more than make a dinner reservation," Issei teased gently.

"You truly are too kind to me, Issei."

"I only do what I feel you deserve."

[croibhristeoir]

"If only I could do even a small fraction of what I think you deserve."

"Now who's too kind to the other?"

[croibhristeoir]

"I'm afraid it's still you."

[unknownrival]

"You're absolutely certain of that?"

[croibhristeoir]

"Absolutely."

"I guess we'll just be forced to disagree."

"Very well, if there is no other choice."

"Come on, then. We should head off to dinner."

"Of course, Issei. Lead the way, if you would."

Dinner was at an Italian restaurant where the waiter welcomed them in after they told him their reservation. Issei unfolded his menu and looked intently over it.

"Issei?"

"Exactly what is any of this?"

"Food. Exactly how lost are you?"

[croibhristeoir]

"Incredibly."

He doesn't speak Italian. Or know with any certainty what 'Italy' is past 'some country somewhere'.

"This section here covers pasta, with some sauces and some spices depending on what you order. This over here is primarily fish, and this is primarily meat."

"Right, I see."

Sense. That made lots of it.

Please tell him that Lancer knows what fish are.

"I could always order something large enough for two?"

Don't be silly, of course he does. He lived on an island, the heck do you think he survived on half the time?

"If you'd like, I wouldn't mind that."

Time to order a big bowl of pasta to share! That thing of pasta sure is huge.
