Is it generally considered strange for the head of a Buddhist temple to be best friends with the head of the local yakuza?

I thought I'd ask, given Father's Day and all.

Oh, then it is certainly understandable that they are friends.

It's just odd that they have such different occupations and turned out so alike, I think.

One has many options throughout one's life. Though people are similar, their choices may never be the same, and thus they have varied opportunities.

As far as differences go, I imagine Birkin is my closest friend with the least expected similarities to me.
