[RL - birthday party.]

[Anyone who's one of Issei's friends (that does not include you, Greed) received a handwritten invitation to Issei's temple on March 3rd. They were invited over to dinner and then to schmoozing afterwards.

Dinner was remarkably delicious for something prepared by monks, and the party is now in the 'random conversation in the largest room available' segment. There's also a cake on one of the tables.

Issei will be coming to chat up every guest, or they can talk amongst themselves.]

oh my god she isn't prepared for this at all. she doesn't know these losers and she hasn't been to a birthday party in like ten years and now that they're not eating she doesn't know what to do and she got worldhopped here from prison. she doesn't have a present or flowers and she's still wearing her stupid grey prisoner's suit because she doesn't have anything else.

so she's looking distinctly uncomfortable, trying to avoid everyone, and regretting her entire life right now. this makes her fairly noticeable.]

[Naturally, Issei spots her, considering that he's looking for her. Let none go unsocialized at this party.

As though he would care about her prisoner's suit, hmmph. She wasn't brought here to look pretty at his party.]

[As formal as ever, Louis mills amongst the crowd with complete ease. His suit is immaculate, as is the rest of him. A pixie rests on his shoulder, but ordinary people will be unable to hear or understand her.

...that doesn't stop her occasionally flying over to people to make faces in front of them, play with their hair and clothing or sit on their heads. Even if she can't be seen, she can probably be felt.

[Issei picks up on the pixie's activity, but for now he'll just talk to his other guest.]

Louis, how was your meal? Did you have any cake?

[Blink blink. There seems to be a faerie making stupid faces at him. He'll just stare blankly for a moment or two before looking over to Louis.]

Excuse me. Is she- [pointing to the pixie] -a friend of yours?

[Sollux is looking pretty uncomfortable, too. He's not sure why he got an invitation to this thing, since he only met Issei once, and he's surrounded by aliens he doesn't know.

So he sort of stands around awkwardly with a cup of something in his hand and wonders how long this is going to take]

Issei's just happy to see Sollux out of his room doing something kind of fun, and approaches him with a smile on his face.]

Did you enjoy dinner? Have you tried any of the cake?

*Retasu is smiling and seems to be having a good time, but she occasionally fidgets and looks at the floor, holding her present.*

[Even with the amulet hidden under his shirt, Diarmuid kept mostly to himself. He stood off to the side, leaning against a wall and looking just a little uncomfortable. He was rapidly becoming aware that will he could handle him self with perfect confidence and calm in a fight, ordinary everyday encounters in this era were far too foreign for him to even begin to try.]

*Retasu is a ball of nerves. Still, she's supposed to socialize, and when she notices Diarmuid standing off in a corner, naturally she's going to worry.*

[hello diarmuid, there is a very sweet-looking little girl approaching you! just ignore the prison garb and the huge metal cuffs on her wrists.]

[Was that...? Yes, it was, Diarmuid-san. It was to be expected to see him at Issei-kun's party, close as they are, but he did not seem to be enjoying himself as much as he should. He was new to the community, compared to some, perhaps he did not have many friends here. It would only be right to say hello.]

[Bet you figured Klavier was going to miss this, huh? Fat chance, he's super man, he can come to this party and prepare for another party at the same time.

He turned up, had dinner, listened to the speech, did a little schmoozing, and meandered a bit...because it's not often he finds himself in the home of a monk and this was his first invitation to Issei's place.

He wasn't counting that festival because he didn't exactly go to Issei's that time.

In any case, he's here, and he has a pretty interesting gift for issei which he's keeping tucked under his arm in a small, modestly, but nicely wrapped, box.]

[It's good to see so many people gathered for the sake of her younger brother. He does have many friends, doesn't he? Such a kind person; she's very proud of him. The party was lovely, as expected, and Issei-kun seemed to have enjoyed himself. Her musing continues as she fetches more dirty plates from room to kitchen. Cleaning is a habit, and it's her duty as an older sister to make sure her dear younger brother has nothing to worry over.

He will not have to lift a finger all day. It's the lease she can do.]
